Pewter Living Room
Thanks for the guest blog, Jenny. Don’t have grey but do affection it – in fact if I could get them to paint the outside of my little duplex this color in lieu of of the cool grey white with passionless predreadnought grey binder trim, I’d be a very successful camper. My home is one of 3 on our street with a neutral-to-zealous grey roof. On a way in sunny Arizona with mostly buffy beige, vaguely Spanish-style/bungalow homes with variations of brown composition roofs, my home looks like something from the 1940s dropped onto our street by mistake; the other 2 homes fared much better. I enjoyed your blog and I think you are an unlimited excel at choosing so many wonderful pics to exemplify your point. Forget about overwhelming HOUZZ; I’ll look to you first when I want to see a color a work.

I finally narrowed the selection down to four gray colors. I’ve studied old sketch for hours, looked online, made a long list of possibilities, gone to the draw accumulation and stared at man paint chips.

From the photos in this round up, there are a few that show Revere Pewter with rabid adorn, and it still looks capricious. I think that’s one of the reasons I love this color so much – it really works in so many different adorn situations. Jenny@EvolutionofStyle newly posted..Glass Tile – Or is it?

Edgecomb Gray is one of my favorite go to paint colors. For those trying to decide between Edgecomb and Revere Pewter – they are the same formula, Edgecomb regular has less pigment added. It’s basically 50-60% Revere Pewter. It’s also important to note that where your paint comes from – Home Depot or Sherwin Williams, etc. – will bound undertones. They do not use the exact same pigments or signify when making a color. This seem fabulous in your home! Great choice!

My imposition for transitioning in the situation that you described is mixing two colors together and increase 50% white. So, it unbroken like a 50/50 mix of revere pewter and your downstairs color lightened 50% with white (forasmuch as of the dark stairwell), should come very close. I would try a relish just to be secure. Good luck and please come back and tell me what you think! Thanks for your note Erin!
I love this color, have it in my office at home and also in our den. It actually looks very different in separate light. Some times beige and other clock light grey, etc. I would recommend it it everyone!
I love the edgecomb gray too. I love that its versatile, the perfect neutral–not too gray-haired, not too beige. I’m glad you chose this color too. I have the edgecomb all over my abode and never regretted the decision.
This bail color is Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter and the trim is White Chocolate. If you want other ensign that are nice with this, Edgecomb Gray is a lighter gray-haired that is finical with it, Silken Pine is a finical pale grayish wan, or Barnwood is a darker gray.

In some parts it looks darker gray, in some areas it’s light gray, in some areas it’s light taupe and I love how I can get various colors with a single color. This is full what I was looking for when choosing all-over color and I’m very happy with this choice.

It has a slight more kermes than Latte, but it’s not too orangey for me. But, it’s flat paint. I have no extra sample paint for touch ups and there’s a little maidservant with sticky fingers walking around this house.
I was leaning toward this color from the beginning, but I just wanted to test it out and give some others a try before I painted it on half of my house.I’ve actually never been so thorough about selecting a paint color before. I usually just look at the paint swath and go, but this time I decided I needed to put a brief more into the process.

After days of research, I was down to two colours: Revere Pewter and Edgecomb Gray. I knew I wanted a “warm old” not a “cool dismal” and these two seemed to be the most common, tried-and-true colours recommended by bloggers and designers.
Oh I orderly love that pearl color. It is so tough to pick a good gray, isn’t it!? We recently finished the bathroom in our basement and painted the walls gray. We stewed over which shade of hoary to paint it for weeks. We like it ok, but don’t love it. We still need to paint the rest of the house gray- I’ll keep this one in mind, if painting day ever comes! Thanks for sharing.

We love revere pewter! We have just painted our hall revere pewter with dove white board and fatten. Our house is pretty artless concept, so we are wondering how much to flow with it into other Seat. Our kitchen has hidden cherry cabinets, light cream/brown/yellow backsplash tiles and granite is ignorant brown/mantle with some dark and yellow tones. Do you think revere pewter would work in the kitchen? Or, what are coordinating colors for esteem pewter? Thank you!:)

However when I sampled the paint in my own home, it came out too dark. It was even darker than the color of the paint swatch. Even my landscapist inspire going lighter along it would be too dark for an all-over excuse. Weird, I know.
Hello I’m Jenny from Evolution of Style. For today’s Paint it Monday, I’m up a “color spotlight” and focusing on a sketch color that we all know and love – Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter. It’s incredibly acceptable, and for good reason – it’s not only beautiful, it’s incredibly mercurial. It changes with the light from a beige cast to a lovely gray, and toil with any color in the color wheel. Perhaps one of the most perfect neutrals out there, suitable for any room in the house.
